Erin Andrews peep-hole stalker gets 30 months in jail

Posted under Jail Time, dancing with the stars by Heather on Tuesday 16 March 2010 at 4:06 pm

An Illinois man who peep-hole stalked Erin Andrews was sentenced to 30 months in jail, UPI reports.

Michael David Barrett, 48, was convicted of peeping through hotel walls to film Andrews nude. Andrews is an ESPN sports reporter who Barrett went to extraordinary lengths to track down and record. He was ordered to pay $7366 in restitution.

Barrett posted the Andrews videos on the internet and planned to sell them to celebrity websites, federal authorities said. He pleaded guilty to charges that included intention to “harass or to cause substantial emotional distress”.

Andrews said her career has been ripped apart as a result. “I am subject to crude comments. I walk into stadiums, and fans make crude comments to me. I have nightmares about this sexual predator,” she told a court in December.

Andrews, 31, is making a comeback from her devastation and will soon join the contestants on this season’s Dancing With The Stars.

Music legend Phil Spector looks exposed in his new mugshot

Posted under Jail Time, Music People by Heather on Tuesday 23 June 2009 at 4:48 pm

Here is the new mugshot of convicted murderer Phil Spector.

It was taken when he checked in to his new temporary holding cell at North Kern State Prison in Bakersfield, California.

The music mogul, sentenced to a minimum of 19 years in prison for killing B-actress Lana Clarkson six years ago, can clearly be seen to be bald without any of his famous wigs.

It was previously reported that prison officers had confiscated them, leaving the “wall of sound” producer feeling a little exposed. Wigs and other personal items are not allowed in jail.

But until now, no one had seen him bare-headed.

Spector repeatedly asked to wear a hat but was turned down. He then reportedly informed authorities he was an Orthodox Jew and needed to wear a yarmulke, or skullcap.

Authorities had no choice but to grant his request and he is now believed to be wearing the yarmulke, though he was he was not allowed to wear it during his transfer and for his new mugshot.

During his two murder trials, Spector was renowned for showing up at court in a variety of toupees.

No Jail Time for DMX

Posted under DMX, Jail Time, Rapper by Heather on Friday 12 June 2009 at 11:32 am

It can no longer be said that not a week goes by without DMX having to be sent to jail. A judge has decided to not send the often legally troubled rapper to jail after he pled guilty to felony attempted aggravated assault a couple of weeks back. DMX was accused of verbally threatening guards at Tent City in Arizona back in February. The rapper got 18 months probation, fees, fines, and credit for time served instead. If we go by the statistics, DMX will most likely end up back in the slammer by July at the latest. The judge just prolonged the inevitable.

Pirate Bay Founders Headed to Jail

Posted under Free Download, Jail Time by Heather on Tuesday 21 April 2009 at 11:17 am

The founders of one of the largest file sharing sites on the web, The Pirate Bay, are going to jail. Gottfrid Svartholm Warg, Peter Sunde Kolmsioppi, Fredrik Neij and Carl Lundstrom have all been found guilty of copyright infringement in a Stockholm court recently. They have been sentenced to a year in the slammer and ordered to pay £2.4 million in damages to record label giants. It wouldn’t be the end of torrents or illegal file sharing though as Kolmsioppi reassured users of The Pirate Bay via his Twitter that “Nothing will happen to TPB [The Pirate Bay], us personally or file-sharing whatsoever. This is just a theater for the media.”

Eric Carmen Sentenced for DUI

Posted under DUI, Jail Time by Heather on Monday 20 April 2009 at 11:57 am

An Ohio judge threw the book at Eric Carmen last week for his epic DUI which was caught on tape back in September. The singer was sentenced to 180 days in jail but he will apparently only have to do 30. I wonder why. The former Raspberries member was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine. For those who haven’t seen the tape, Eric was absolutely hammered, hit a fire hydrant and then handed his credit card to the cops instead of his driver’s license. He also blew a .23, nearly three times the legal limit. This was his second DUI. The singer will begin serving his sentence on April 25.

Redmond O’Neal held without bail over probation violation

Posted under Jail Time by Heather on Monday 20 April 2009 at 10:58 am

A judge has ordered troubled Redmond O’Neal to be held without bail for a probation violation.

The son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal appeared at an LA court on Friday morning over the violation related to an arrest last year.

The matter was not connected to his arrest last weekend outside a jail, where he was found with heroin in his pocket.

Redmond admitted violating his probation with a ‘dirty’ drug test in rehab, which led to the judge ordering him to be held until at least April 17.

He wore handcuffs in court and reportedly looked ‘exhausted’ at the two-minute hearing.

Neither of his famous parents were in court.

Cancer-stricken Farrah was released from hospital on Thursday after suffering abdominal bleeding.

Redmond, 24, is being held at the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles.

Redmond O’Neal doesn’t get bail

People O'Neal
Ryan O’Neal and Fara Fawcett’s son, Redmond O’Neal, apparently doesn’t get to go home on bail for violating his probation terms. Redmond O’Neal recently admitted to the felony, but it seems that the judge didn’t sympathise with his sincerity. He actually tried to smuggle some drugs into a prison and got busted, but it really looked as if Redmond O’Neal was actually trying to get into prison. It seems he got his wish and there’s nothing his folks can do about it. After all, what bail could the judge possibly had declared so as to be unpayable… this way, everybody wins.

Rapper T.I. seeks prison tips

Posted under Jail Time, Maratha Stewart, T.I. by Heather on Friday 27 February 2009 at 11:49 am

Rapper T.I. is preparing for his stint behind the bars by asking for survival tips from Maratha Stewart. He took this decision to approach Maratha Stewart after learning that he would be serving exactly the same sentence as the lifestyle queen, who went to prison for five months in 2004 for insider training.

T.I., who is heading to jail on a federal firearms charge, has this to say about taking tips from Maratha, “It didn’t hurt Martha Stewart much. We have the same exact sentence, if I’m not mistaken. She’s still doing pretty well for herself… I imagine my musical career would be as good as or better than it was when I left.”

OMG, just look at this pervert he wants inspiration and tips from a lady who served the same sentence before so that he can come out to jail and be a bigger goon that he already is. People would rather advice him that he takes spirituality lessons from some guru so that he can leave all of this behind and when he comes out of jail he takes upon himself to living a clean and sober life.

Convicted fashion designer Anand Jon has hope

Posted under Fashion, Jail Time by Heather on Tuesday 10 February 2009 at 12:58 pm

anand-jon
Last year fashion designer Anand Jon was famously convicted of molesting budding young models in lure of getting them contracts in the world of fashion. But now there seems to be a ray of hope for the beleaguered fashion designer who is currently behind the bars

The Indian-born fashion designer may get a fresh trail after some “explosive contents” of ‘sealed motion’ filed in his case are going to be made open on 27th of February. There is much speculation that many of the witnesses called up during the trail were intimidated to testify against Jon who faced charges for rape as well.

Well that could really open up a lot of questions as to who would benefited from the designer going to jail and I really have my doubts on this cos’ though he designed clothes for many rich and famous people there would hardly be some who would feel threatened by his work.

But there are always vested interests and people would take advantage of someone else’s plight to even out past differences. This could be a murkier case when things unfold.

Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from jail

Posted under Amy Winehouse, Blake Fielder-Civil, Drugs, Jail Time by Heather on Sunday 9 November 2008 at 6:21 pm

Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil has been released from jail this past Tuesday. There was no Wino and hubby reunion though as Blake has gone from jail straight into rehab. Wino wasn’t even there to greet her hubby upon his release. She was supposedly holed up in her North London crack den because of that chest infection. It’s not known when the two will be reunited. If it was up to her mother-in-law though, Blake would keep away from Amy and just come back to the family home. Mommy Blake previously said “’Giving him and Amy another chance is like putting a gun to Blake’s head while playing Russian roulette. If he goes it could be a death sentence for the two of them.”

Nick Bollea is a FREE man again

Posted under Celeb Arrest, Hulk Hogan, Jail Time by Heather on Friday 24 October 2008 at 11:35 am

Nick Bollea is free again.

After getting caught while doing reckless driving which caused a crash in August 2007, Nick Bollea was put behind the bars on May 9, 2008.

He was released from the detention facility on October 21. He was released three months before the completion of his prison period from the Pinellas County Jail in Clearwater, Florida, due to good behavior.

He was greeted intensely by her sister Brooke Hogan at the gate of the jail.

Before the release of her loving brother, Brooke wrote on her MySpace page, “I can’t even tell you, as a sister, how exciting this is for me! Nick and I are like best friends…and I can’t believe how long I’ve gone without him.”

What a sisterly love she has for her sibling! I pray that we do not see the loving brother applying oil on the round breasts of the cute sister after watching the kind father Hulk Hogan rubbing the oil on the butts of her lovely child some days back.

When you get a chance to get out of jail, would you pass? According to UK’s Sun, authorities offered Amy Winehouse’s hubby, Blake Fielder-Civil, early release if he went straight to rehab. He said no. He was also offered early release if he moved to his mom’s house, where he’d be required to wear a tracking device of sorts, to which he also responded with a no. How can jail be better than outside? A friend of Wino said “This will be another blow for her. Blake could have gone to rehab and sorted himself out but would rather see out his sentence in prison. All he wants is a free reign when he leaves, which means living with Amy back in Camden. But if he is turning down these chances to leave jail and get clean, it doesn’t bode well for him and Amy when he finally does get out.” Well said.

    Pearlman is still a Rat

He may already be serving 25 years in the big house for bilking investors out of millions but that’s not going to stop Lou Pearlman from being a rat. His jail mates better watch what they say as their conversations may be recorded for snitching purposes. While waiting to find out his legal fate last year, Pearlman listened in on another inmate’s chat and put together a dossier that implicated the inmate in a cop killing. The Orlando Sentinel reports how Pearlman took detailed notes and even drew diagrams that could be useful in the cops’ investigation of inmate Davin Smith. Pearlman’s compiled evidence was revealed in court on Tuesday and the trial begins in November.

    Amy Winehouse for Drugs

Amy Winehouse’s husband Blake Fielder-Civil recently suffered a drug overdose in prison and I’m stuck wondering how he got heroin in jail. And here’s my answer. It’s being said that the inmate has been exchanging pictures of his wife for drugs. In return for the pictures, he is given a ‘Joey’ – slang for a hit of heroin worth a few pounds. “He’ll take orders from other inmates then ask Amy to bring in signed photos of herself during visits. He usually gets her to write a little personalized note to make it look authentic. Once he’s back on the wing he’ll swap these for Joeys.” It seems he has no trouble in cashing in on his wife’s fame.

    R Kelly Verdict Afterthoughts

Posted under Court House, Jail Time, Porn Tape, R Kelly, R&B by Heather on Friday 20 June 2008 at 1:36 pm

If you’re one of many who still think that R Kelly should have been given the guilty verdict, feel free to jump on the jurors. Apparently, even though they believed that it really was the R&B singer on the tape, they couldn’t reach a guilty verdict because there wasn’t enough evidence to prosecute. Say what? It’s being said that they could reach a verdict because the alleged victim hadn’t testified and refused to cooperate. Even during the morning of the giving of the verdict, the 12 jurors were split 9 to 3 for a not guilty verdict. The jurors were also said to be very disgusted by the tape as the version they got to watch was as clear as day.

    Country Singer Accused of Assault

‘Nashville Star’ 2003 season finalist Miranda Lambert has been accused of assaulting a woman because she didn’t know who the country singer was. The alleged victim Aisha Esbay says that she was sitting at a bar with friends when one recognized Miranda and wanted a picture. Esbay approached the singer saying that she didn’t know her but that her friend wanted a photo. That apparently pissed off the singer and shoved Esbay into a bar stool multiple times. Smith County Sherriff’s Department says they are investigating but, at worst, it will be a Class C misdemeanour – just think of it like a violent speeding ticket.

    Foxy on TV

Foxy Brown has been looking for ways to get out of Rikers Island and she’s gone pretty creative – although stupid as well – with her ideas. But once the rapper does get out, it looks like she’ll be heading to the small screen. It seems that Foxy has been bitten by the reality bug as she is reportedly in negotiations with cable VH1 for a reality show. Well that’s rich. I wonder if the TV execs do visits with her at Rikers to get details on the deal ironed out. That’s mighty industrious of her though – being in jail isn’t getting in the way of her business.

    Rapper Beanie Back in Jail

If you want to know the reason why they call it rap, well – it’s because most of the artists have raps against them anyway. Just ask Beanie Sigel. The rapper has just been thrown in jail again. Beanie Sigel was sentenced to 3 months in prison for giving his probation officers a fake urine sample and has also tested positive 5 times this month for Xanax and Percocet. He was in the middle of serving a 6-month term in a halfway house for violation a prior supervised release. In 2004, he was sentenced to a year in prison for weapons and drugs charges. In 2005, he was acquitted of attempted murder charges. Whoa! Next time you kids did something bad, don’t come down so hard. Thing could be so much worse.

    T.I. Heads to Jail

As expected, rapper T.I. has plead guilty to federal weapons possession charges this past week. He plead guilty to possession on an unregistered firearm, possession of machine guns and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, has been sentenced to serve a year behind bars. He will start serving his time after completing at least 1,000 hours of community service talking to kids about the dangers of drugs, gangs and guns. See kids, it’s not okay to play with guns – especially if you happen to be going against several laws by having a gun in the first place.
