John Lydon has divulged that he would like to write a song for Britney Spears.

The former Sex Pistols frontman feels that he could help her with her career and has put himself forward as a potential songwriter.

John said: “I haven’t written a song for Britney yet but I would love to.”

He added: “I’d like to help out because there’s a girl who needs some help. She’s been hurt and hurt is the root core of good music.”

Being a doctor really has its perks – like getting off easy in the Britney Spears medical records scandal at UCLA Medical Center. A new report says that while 53 employees snooped into the pop wreck’s files, non-doctors got stiffer punishments (like getting fired) than the doctors did. According to the LA Times, 18 employees resigned, retired or were dismissed but none of them were physicians. The report went on to say that the staff at UCLA was celebrity-crazed and that employees ran to their computers within minutes of Brit’s arrival at the hospital back in 2005 for the birth of Sean Preston.

What type of house would you live in or build if you were a celebrity? Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so what we think is tacky might seem gorgeous and practical to another beholder…The list below is in no particular order. 1. Britney Spears: According to public records, Spears purchased the Malibu, California house through her Love Shack Trust in October 2004 for $6,300,000. The 7,400 square foot home boasts a pool, a spa, tennis court and gym, a maid’s quarters, seven bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms. Spears put the home on the market in January 2007 for $13.5 million, but the price dropped in March to $11.8 million. The house, which is located in the exclusive gated Serra Retreat area where such stars as Mel Gibson live, may have priced itself out of the market for the moment. Additionally, rumor has it that the gated estate was too overly-customized to Mr. and Mrs. Spears’ tastes. According to the linked source, “A bar in every room was too over-the-top for the average potential buyer in that price range - not to mention the lavish poolside bar built over which once was the tennis court.” This past March, papers were served to Britney and she was almost evicted because she hadn’t paid the rent. It appears that Britney’s financial team screwed up, but that all payments now are current.
2. John Travolta: No, this isn’t an airline terminal. It’s the home of John Travolta and family, built specifically to house his Gulfstream and Boeing 707B. The home is located immediately off a main airstrip in Ocala, Florida, and it’s designed so his jets can taxi right up to two outbuildings connected to the main structure that’s shaped like a truncated air-control tower. Although the property came equipped with a 7,500-foot runway, Travolta extended the taxiway to reach the house. Actress Kelly Preston, Travolta’s wife, can tell when John’s home, as the planes are visible from the living area inside the home. If that’s not enough airline for you, wait until you see the mural in the dining area that was culled from a 1937 Fortune magazine ad. Diners can pretend they’re eating in the lobby of a 1930s Paris airport.
3. Michael Jackson: Michael Jackson’s Neverland Ranch served as the pop singer’s private amusement park and home when the facility opened in 1988, but it’s no longer in operation. This ridiculous property, which lies over 2,800 acres, contains a zoo, a theme park with Ferris wheel, merr-go-round, zipper, spider, sea dragon, wave swinger, super slide, dragon wagon kiddie roller coaster, and bumper cars. Named for Neverland, the fantastical island in the story of Peter Pan where children never grow up, the ranch is located near Los Olivos, California. As of March, 2008, the property remains in foreclosure proceedings, with a possible auction slated unless Jackson clears his debt. The auction may be forestalled by a loan extension offered by his loan holder Fortress Investments, according to Fox News.
4. Ira Rennert: Rennert, a publicity-shy billionaire founder of the Renco Group, is known more for his obnoxious New York Hamptons home than he is for anything else. This mansion is considered one of the largest occupied residential compounds in America, and - if put on the market - may be the valued as the most expensive home on earth. The home sits on 63 acres, and the buildings cover over 110,000 square feet including the 66,000 square foot main house. The main building contains a 91-foot long dining room, 29 bedrooms and 39 bathrooms. Fair Field, named after the adjoining Fairfield Pond, also contains a bowling alley, tennis and squash courts, and a $150,000 hot tub.
5. Candy Spelling: Producer Aaron Spelling tore down Bing Crosby’s old home to build this ridiculous 56,000-square-foot, 123-room Los Angeles, California estate. Unarguably the largest estate in California, this hotel-sized mansion sports a bowling alley and a single room devoted entirely to gift wrapping. While rumors ran rampant that Aaron’s widow, Candy, would sell the home in 2006 following Aaron’s death, Candy dispelled the rumors and continues to reside alone in the mansion. Candy Spelling is the mother of Tori and Randy Spelling, both actors. Candy and Tori have remained hot in celebrity mags, thanks to their feuds over Aaron’s inheritance, Tori’s portrayal of her mother in a VH1 sitcom, and other family feudal issues.
6. Will Smith: This is Will and Jada Smith’s ridiculously obnoxious mansion, located in California. Their estate is described as a Calabasas castle, as it has its own lake, basketball court, tennis court and a pair of private par threes in the backyard. The estate took over seven years to build at $20 million. Smith stated, “The problem is that you build your dream home, but then you’re seven years older so it’s the house you used to want real bad!” By 2004, when they had seven months until they could move in, Smith added, “We’ve got about seven more months (before we move in). Everybody is excited because we went (to the house) and we let the kids come in and they picked out their rooms. Some of them are not gonna live there because they’re gonna have their own home by the time we actually move in!” The Smith family was forced to leave this home in 2005 when a bush fire threatened to destroy it and several other houses in the same area.
7. Donald Trump: Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Florida mansion was primed for the real estate market in 2006, and this 80,000-square-foot estate was priced at $125 million well before the housing meltdown. This obnoxious mansion, which resembles a civic center, totals 62,000 square feet, with nine bedrooms, a ballroom, media room, art gallery, beauty salon, and a 4,100-square-foot conservatory. Additionally, the 6.5-acre property with 475 feet of ocean frontage includes two guest houses, a pool, and parking for 40 cars. Trump purchased the estate for $41.35 million in a 2004 Florida bankruptcy-court auction. Trump renovated Maison de l’Amitié during his tenure, and during the sale it was listed as the most expensive home on the market anywhere in the U.S.
8. Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz: Shortly after His Royal Highness Prince Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz was appointed Secretary-General of the National Security Council by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah on October 16, 2005, he put his house in Aspen, Colorado up for sale. His reason for purchasing this home, which sits on 95 acres, includes his position as Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United States of America from October 24, 1983 to September 8, 2005. However, it appears that His Highness rarely stayed at this U.S. palace. The main portion of the house, which is larger than the White House, includes 16 bathrooms, 15 bedrooms, stables, a tennis court, an indoor swimming pool, outdoor water features and a snowmelt driveway. The price? At the time, the asking price was $135 million, ten million more than what Trump asked for his Palm Beach estate. The Prince took the house off the market in November 2007 after a lack of offers.
9. Michael Vick: The former quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons is languishing in jail and no longer lives in this somewhat tacky Surrey County, Virginia home since he was convicted for dog fighting. The house includes 5 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms, a white brick exterior, hardwood floors, and a full basketball court in the backyard. Although the Surry County, Virginia Commissioner of the Revenue stated the dwelling itself is valued at $647,000, and the 15 acres of land upon which the home sits was valued at $100,000, it would be very spooky to live in a home where this celebrity buried dog carcasses. The home sits across the street from a Baptist Church and is surrounded by a large, white fence and was sold at auction in November 2007.
10. Martha Stewart: Would you pay $8.9 million for this house? That’s what Martha Stewart wants for her Westport, Connecticut home called “Turkey Hill.” The Georgian style house sports nine bedrooms, three baths, several outbuildings and “the nicest garden in town.” However, we feel that - given Martha’s gift for creativity - this house really is a turkey. At least it has plenty of room to roam on 4.03 acres. But, that wallpaper effect on the stairwell needs to go (follow the link to view the images).

Comedy Central’s South Park just did an episode which parodied Britney Spears and the world’s obsession with her. The now recovering pop star isn’t so much skewered herself but the paparazzi who follow her and her poor management. Well that was a little on the nice side. Sadly, through a series of events, Brit ends up blowing her head off with a shotgun. And who did the creators choose to take her place in the pop world? None other than Miley ‘Hannah Montana’ Cyrus. There’s a shout out to Miley somewhere on the episode. Considering how Miley’s been, I think it’s a “suitable” replacement.

With Britney Spears wanting him to pay a portion of attorney fees, Kevin Federline is hard at work these days. The dad of the fallen pop star’s two kids lends his voice-over so-called talent to an episode of Comedy Central’s ‘Lil Bush’ which aired this week. KFed doesn’t stray too far from his flop of a career though as he gives life to the character of MC Rove. The wannabe rapper put a hip hop spin on Republican strategist Karl Rove. It may be best to stick to careers in which he doesn’t have to write his own material. He’s better that way. The episode he did was actually pretty funny.

Britney Spears may have just gotten denied her bid to get some form of visitation with her sons but she’s not giving up hope no matter how thin of a rope she may be holding on to. A source close to the fallen pop star reveals to Us that Britney “hasn’t put the children’s belongings away. She desperately wants the kids. She cries about it.” Britney’s parents and even KFed won’t let her talk to the kids on the phone and no one talks about Britney when the boys are around. “They don’t want to get them riled up. They just keep them focused on activities.”

Another court hearing was held last Thursday to determine if there should be any changes made in Britney Spears’ life, at least with regards to her conservators. A Los Angeles Commissioner decided to extend her father’s role as conservator, so until the next court hearing on March 10th, Jamie Spears will be the captain of the pop wreck’s ship. Additionally, Brit’s brother Bryan has been named the trustee of his sister’s estate. Dad will rule her life and big brother will control her money. Britney was also ordered to undergo a 730 evaluation which would help determine child custody. The results of which will be turned in to the court by the next hearing.

Whether it’s the truth or not you have to flinch slightly when you read this.

Britney Spears was being drugged by her manager Sam Lufti, her mum has claimed in newly released court documents. She says Britney also had her home phone lines cut and chargers for her mobile taken away by Lutfi as he attempted to take control of her life. He also allegedly degraded the star by calling her a “whore” and labelling her boyfriend Adnan Ghalib “gay”.

Ouch!

Lynne Spears made the shocking allegations in a signed declaration so she could get a restraining order filed in a Los Angeles court. Spears, 26, is currently in UCLA hospital after being admitted for psychiatric treatment.

So, she finally showed…and then left.

Britney Spears was not legally required to attend today’s hearing regarding custody of her two sons, but her legal team “strongly advised” that she be there. She originally had no intentions of going, but she showed up around 1:15 pm.

Reports say her car pulled into the garage, and she got out for just a few seconds and then jumped back in the car after being surrounded by photographers. She said, “I’m scared. I want to get in the car. I’m going in the car.” When police tried to convince her to come out with them, she reportedly slammed her back against the seat and screamed, “No!”

The result of the hearing was that K-Fed gets to keep the kids without any visitation from Britney for the time being. His lawyer says that he hopes to have her involved in the parenting sometime in the future.

And the crazy continues….

All bets are off as we all wait on tenterhooks to see whether troubled singer Britney will show up in court today. It is the first custody hearing since her face off with the police last week; where she was stripped of all visitation rights when she refused to hand over the tots to ex Kevin Federline.

If she does not show up Britney risks losing her kids for good.

Mark Kapolan, Federline’s lawyer, said, “I don’t know if she will be there. You can’t phone this one in. She will have the opportunity to persuade the court that she can have some visitation under monitored conditions. The emergency court orders granting sole physical and legal custody to my client are only temporary. These are very, very draconian orders. Because of that the court wanted to have a hearing to give her and her attorneys the opportunity to refute some of the declarations. No judge likes making orders terminating a person’s involvement with their kids.”

Kevin has had full custody of the boys since October when Britney failed to attend a court-ordered drugs test.

We shall just have to wait and see…

Best known as the one person in the world who would cry out for Britney, Chris Crocker shocked us all by begging us all, via YouTube, to just leave Britney alone. Now, though, he’s screaming a different story.

He says, after Britney’s recent standoff and erratic behavior, “Britney needs to not be left alone right now. I think if everyone left her alone, she could do some major damage to herself.” He is afraid now that if no one reaches out to help her, it could be the beginning of her demise.

Chris begs, “The people close to her, they need to help her at this time. Rally together and do what they can to save her life.”

If you can keep all the Britney stories straight, you’ll remember that sources on the scene of her standoff said she appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. We all did a collective head nod because we figured as much.

Well, sources now say that once she was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, she tested free of any drugs or alcohol. The unnamed informant said, “This lady is clean as clean can be, and has been for some time.”

So, I guess since there wasn’t any substance in her, it was just plain crazy that made her do what she did. Other sources who are close to the Spears family believe that Britney actually suffers from an undiagnosed case of bipolar disorder.

Maybe Dr. Phil will diagnose and fix her.

The Britney Spears saga continues and in the latest episode we see Britney being taken away in an ambulance. Well that’s one way to get attention…

Police were called to the Spears mansion on Thursday night because she was refusing to hand the children over to their father as part of a court order. They said Spears was under the influence of an unknown substance and had been taken to hospital for a possible mental health evaluation.

An ambulance, a fire engine and six police cars were reportedly seen at the singer’s house; and Britney’s youngest son Jayden James was also driven away in a separate ambulance.

It’s anyone’s guess what the fire engine was for…

And this time it’s not a rumor. It’s just not the Spears you’d expect. It’s her sister Jamie Lynn

The Britney Spears and KFed custody hearing that went down earlier this week saw the pop wreck losing in some way or another. The Commissioner has nixed the scheduled hearing for next month and that’s not really good news for the troubled mama. It’s been reported that her lawyers want to convince the Commissioner to restore her right to drive with her kids and to restore some custody rights. Next month’s hearing has since been pushed to February 19.

I guess that the video that TMZ caught of Britney partying the same night she claimed she was too sick to show for her deposition really did her in.
