Mischa Barton, a troubled starlet who slipped into psychiatric treatment over summer, is on the up in NYC.
Barton, who went straight back into work on The Beautiful Life, wrote on her blog: “I’ve been fully immersed in production on my upcoming show The Beautiful Life and I’ve been loving every minute of it. I have my dogs Charlie and Ziggy with me here so I’ve been hanging with them in my downtime, as well as hitting the gym as often as I can.”
Barton has been snapped by photographers out and about in the city that never sleeps. She was reported to have the full support of the show’s executive producer, Ashton Kutcher.
Some of Barton’s friends voiced concern that she had jumped back into the fray too soon. But she added on her blog: “Things are only going to get more hectic from this point on.”
Marilyn Manson has taken to his MySpace page to send out some holiday greetings (guh?) and clear up some rumors about his career and his personal life. The 39-year old rocker said “Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like to make an announcement. the rumors that I found a ‘replacement’ for [ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood], or that I have a new girlfriend are absolutely not true. I am finishing up my album, and I also have never even met Ne-Yo. I can assure him that he would not want to be associated with something this godless. Get over the holiday so I can happily ruin the new year for anyone that assumed music was going to stay boring and sweet.â€
Everybody loves Hanna Montana’s Miley Cyrus right? If you’re part of the 99.9% that think so, well, you happen to be wrong. Miley is actually being sued by a fan for failing to make tickets available to upcoming concerts.
Kerry Inman of Pennsville, New Jersey says that she paid almost $30 to Miley’s official website which promised to make seats available to members before tickets went on sale to the general public. The $5 million class action lawsuit alleges that Interactive Media Marketing and Smiley Miley, Inc. were ‘unfair and deceptive’.
Reps for Miley say that an opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets is one of the benefits of membership to the singer’s website but it’s no guarantee of actually obtaining a ticket especially if there are over 70,000 members.
Freedom of the press, be-yotches! A Los Angeles judge on Thursday dismissed a defamation lawsuit brought against Perez Hilton by Lindsay Lohan pal Samantha Ronson, accepting the blogger’s argument that the suit was “frivolous” and an attack on his right to free speech. Ha Ha! There’s a bit of karma for you. Although Perez Hilton is also a slimeball, and will likely get his at some point down the road. Samantha Ronson did set Lindsay Lohan up for that picture. Everyone knows that. Lindsay knows it. And that’s exactly why you’ll never see her hanging out with this enabling parasite ever again. Except that she just had dinner with her the couple nights ago, according to 3 different websites and some photographers. It won’t be long until the inevitable. Ha ha ha again!
