This bulldog is a bona fide pool shark.

Halo, a seven-year-old bulldog from Minnesota has become a massive internet hit after showing off her skills around the pool table.

The loveable bulldog-terrier mix has mastered the break, bank shots and even trick shots.

Amazingly, despite her lack of thumbs to use a cue, Halo’s owner Josh Kuhn, 28, says she’s not once ripped or even scratched the cloth with her claws.

“I got the pool table about two years ago – and she started trying to take shots about six months later,” said Josh.

“She would come down to the basement when I was playing with friends – she didn’t interrupt the game but once we were done playing she’d jump up and start hitting the cue ball about.

“She was so interested I started lining up shots for her and pretty soon she was going around the table hitting the balls on her own.”

After friends saw Halo play they told Josh to make a video and put it up on the internet.

“I was pretty happy when it got to 1000 hits,” said Josh.

“Then all of a sudden I woke up one day and it was at 70,000.”

The clip includes Halo performing a tricky bank shot where the ball doubles back and sinks her target ball.

“I think she meant to make that shot – she doesn’t make them every time but I can tell what she is going for,” said Josh.

“She really has got skills and she gets really excited to play.”

Halo – whose best friend is a cat – picked up the sport so quickly that Josh is considering letting her take part in another of his hobbys.

“We have a friendly poker game on Sundays – we might let her sit in on a few hands . . . or should that be paws!”

Bubbles the chimp unaware Jacko is dead

SPL104102_008
Bubbles the chimp has not been ‘told’ that his one-time best friend, Michael Jackson, is dead.

Bubbles, who is now 26, was once a regular companion for Jackson and lived at the singer’s Neverland home.

The chimp was even reportedly taught how to moonwalk and use a toilet by the superstar.

But as he grew and became too big for domestic life, Bubbles was retired, and has spent the past four years at a private chimp sanctuary in Florida.

Now Bubbles lives in a group of 42 chimpanzees and orangutans, but was never visited there by the late King of Pop.

An anonymous caller even called recently to offer to pay for Bubbles to fly to the Jackson memorial service, but sanctuary bosses declined.

“We have not discussed it [Jackson's death] with him [Bubbles] because Michael has not been here to see Bubbles,” said sanctuary director Patti Ragan.

“it has been many years since he saw him, and Bubbles is very connected and happy in his chimpanzee family right now.”

Bubbles, who could live to the age of 60, was born in Texas at a facility that breeds chimps for medical testing, before he was adopted by Jacko.

Miley Cyrus awarded for animal compassion

The actress has recently received a Compassionate Citizen Award from peta2, the “junior” division of PETA organization. Miley Cyrus was distinguished with this award because she took home a chicken from the set of her latest movie in order to care for it, as a source relates: “She packed up a few of the birds and sent them home with her mother. Miley felt sorry for the chickens because they were sad to be working.” Yep, poor chickens, Miley Cyrus was right to see their depression for having to work on a set. I’ll be curious to see the movie and see exactly the barbaric “work” those chickens had to do. And moreover, can’t PETA think up a better name for their youth division? This peta2 sounds more like a chat login.

Martin Clunes had a mentally unstable dog

In a recent interview the actor told the press that he and his family had such severe problems with one of their dogs that they even put it on Valium: “After trying every avenue possible, including – as a last, unsuccessful, resort – a Valium prescription for Tina, we realized the situation was never going to right itself”. Apparently, the actor even wrote a book on the matter called “A dog’s life” in which he laid down the story of how the little dog Tina never got along with her mother, Mary. Maybe the environment is to blame…

Pete Doherty buries feline

Pete Doherty buried his kitten by the side of a road on Tuesday night. The Babyshambles frontman, who recently bought three new cats bringing his total to 10 felines, revealed his pet had passed away as he was traveling to his solo London show at Brixton’s Mass club.

Pete, who was seen taking one of his cats to the vet last week, told the crowd: “Sorry I’m late. But considering I’ve had to bury one of my cats at the roadside I’ve done pretty well to be here.”

Before the 29-year-old rocker arrived at the show, fans were told he was running late because his “kittens had gone crazy”.

When Pete arrived, a member of his entourage was seen carrying one of the cats backstage.

Earlier this month, it was claimed Pete had bought several pregnant mice for his pets to feed on and was letting the rodents roam around his London home for the cats to catch.

He recently revealed he realized his drug use was spiraling out of control after he attacked one of his beloved pets. Pete said: “I got a shovel and was going to kill one of the cats. It was a bit of a crazy time.”

The musician was also caught up in a cat controversy last year when it was alleged he had been feeding one of his animals crack cocaine.
