Sam Worthington could play Flash Gordon
Avatar actor Sam Worthington is reportedly up for the role of Flash Gordon in a remake of the film.
There are rumours that 33-year-old Worthington, who is playing the lead role of Jake Sully in James Cameron’s movie, is battling actor Ryan Reynolds as well as two others for the new role.
A source said to Hollyscoop: “If he gets the role it would be quite a big deal as Flash is an all-American hero. Right now it’s between Sam, Ryan Reynolds and one or two others for the lead role, should the project actually get off the ground.”
