Disgraced filmmaker Roman Polanski is confined to his luxury ski chalet in Gstaad, Switzerland, with only close family and expensive wine for company, according to reports.
Polanski, 76, is under house arrest awaiting possible deportation to the US for sodomising a 13-year-old girl in 1977.
But a source has revealed that he’s living the life of luxury: “His wife, Emmanuelle Seigner, has been spotted out in the town shopping for his favourite food and cheeses, while the champagne and wines have been delivered to the house. He’s planning a small family dinner for New Year’s Eve with possibly one or two other friends.”
Polanski has launched a $1.1 million suit against the paparazzi camped outside his home for allegedly invading his privacy and harassing his family.
