Roman Polanski to get out of Swiss jail on Friday

Fugitive director Roman Polanski will be released from a Zurich jail on Friday.
His bail of a cool $4.5 million in cash was not raised outright and Polanski has had to stay in the nick for several days after it was granted.
“Roman Polanski will be transferred on Friday to his chalet in Gstaad,” said Folco Galli of the Swiss Justice Ministry.
The sun-drenched chalet named Milky Way was flashed across TV screens around the world as it was reportedly prepared for house arrest. Polanski, who could yet face US extradition, will wear an electronic monitor bracelet that does not have GPS tracking.
Polanski has fled 30-year-old charges that he had unlawful sex with a minor in Los Angeles in 1977. US authorities were last heard pushing ahead with his extradition.
