Jon Gosselin faces a possible lawsuit from Kate Major, who claims he broke a written agreement the pair drafted during a weekend they spent in a hotel.
Major’s attorney, Ben Pietra, said: “Kate called me and has retained my services regarding a possible breach of contract between herself and Jon Gosselin. We are keeping our legal options open, but if a breach of contract has occurred, we will be moving forward with a lawsuit.”
Radaronline had earlier posted the “agreement”, which looks like a scribbled bar coaster. Dated, as July 28, 2009, it says: “I, Jon Gosselin, will employ Kate Major as a personal assistant.” It also says she will be able to handle some but not all future accounts and be due a percentage.
Major had allegedly drafted the agreement after quitting a job as an entertainment reporter at Star Magazine. She was, however, romantically linked to Gosselin at the time. A source told Radar: “Kate 2.0 and Jon spent a weekend in a hotel where they drew up the contract. Jon told her he would match the salary she was making at the magazine if she came to work for him as his personal employee.”
The source added: “Jon drafted the agreement and they both signed it.”
