Dorian Gray star Ben Barnes has admitted he “almost fainted” during his orgy scenes in the movie.

Ben, 27, is best-known for playing the immortal character Dorian Gray in the new film of the same name. He also played Prince Caspian in The Chronicles of Narnia sequel.

Ben’s character Dorian enjoys a number of sex scenes in the movie and Ben admitted that he almost passed out he was concentrating so hard.

He said to Britain’s SFX magazine: “The murders are juicy, shards of glass being stabbed into necks. The sex is strong.

“And Olly has done a marvellous job of pushing me out of my comfort zone, making me scared about where things will go and what evil performance levels I might come up with.

“I nearly fainted with concentration during the hedonistic orgies! My challenge has been making Dorian quite sweet and attractive at the beginning.

“But although it becomes clear what a lecherously downward path he’s on, you still want him to continue being sexy and seductive.”

Ben also admitted that his youthful looks might mean he can play younger characters but he also still gets asked for ID in bars.

He added: “I’m 27 too but have been playing 18-year-olds for the past five years so I knew there was something of an ageless perception I could give to the role. I still get asked for ID in bars!”
