The brother of actor Hayden Christensen (pictured), film producer Tove Christensen, has been arrested on charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon.

The producer allegedly dragged his girlfriend almost 30ft as she clung to the side of his car, after an argument broke out between the couple.

Witnesses told the police that Tove pushed the girl to the ground before getting into his car. As his lover tried to reach inside the vehicle to get her handbag, Tove reportedly started the car, dragging her down the street in the process.

Police later arrested Tove, 36, at his house in Los Angeles.

He is currently being held on $30,000 bail.
