My girl is no thief, says Lohan’s mum
Lindsay Lohan’s mother has angrily denied her daughter is a thief and lashed out about invasions of the young actress’s privacy.
Dina Lohan attacked reports Lindsay was under suspicion in a missing jewellery affair as “defamatory, false and unfair.”
The items were reported missing from a London photo shoot earlier this month. The British magazine involved this week issuing a statement saying it did not hold Lindsay responsible.
“Elle made a public statement backing Lindsay,” her mother said.
“She is a 22-year-old girl who needs to live her life in peace. The tabloids need to leave her alone with all the lies and reporting with no proof.”
She pointed to Lindsay’s mobile phone number being posted online and her messages being hacked into.
Lindsay recently spent time quality time with her family on Long Island, New York, Dina said.
“Lindsay has been home with me and her family for a while now, celebrating her little brother [Cody's] confirmation and his 13th birthday.”
