Call it timing but the father of the three-year old kid Madonna is trying to adopt has surfaced. Relatives of the Malawi kid earlier agreed to Madonna’s adoption application because the kid’s mother died after giving birth and his father is unknown. After the publicity-rich adoption application and denial of Madonna though, the father of the child, who is only 15 years old, finally came out and said he wants a role in raising his kid. James Kambewa’s fitness in raising his child is however being questioned by her relatives.

James Kambewa, who admitted that he was the boyfriend of Mwandida Maunde (the girl’s mother), now works as a security guard. James Kambewa ran away because Mwandida Maunde’s parents made life hell for him when they found out he accidentally got their daughter pregnant. He said he thought the baby died along with her mother but thanks to the publicity surrounding Madonna’s adoption he learned that their baby is still alive. He said he is willing to support Mercy. Madonna’s bid to adopt Mercy was foiled after a Malawi court decided she lacked the required residency.

The former playmate has recently become very enthusiastic about guns since her fiancée, Hank Baskett, showed her how to use one. Kendra Wilkinson now believes that all women should know how to fire a gun in order to defend themselves, as she relates: “Hank and i went to the shooting range the other day so that he could teach me how to shoot a gun, or two or three hahaha. I think it’s so important that every woman learn self defense. Plus, it’s fun.” Of course, all women should learn how to fire guns… especially blondes like Kendra Wilkinson who find such a fun activity. Maybe there could be a law enabling them to possess firearms… or maybe even making them mandatory. That would make the world a better place!
