Tose Proeski, a Macedonian pop star, passed away on Tuesday after being involved in a fatal car crash in Croatia.
The singer’s fan base in the Balkans rivals that of Madonna which makes it very understandable why Macedonia is in mourning for the fallen star. He died almost instantly when his car collided with a truck near the town of Nova Gradiska.
Tose was the most beloved teen pop idol in Macedonia and he even represented his country in the Eurovision song contest in 2004. He was also an upstanding UNICEF ambassador.
